Axionable vs Teamstarter

Over the past few months, Axionable, a company specialized in AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Big Data, uses Teamstarter. The Robobox Project

This week we are talking about their latest project carried out with Teamstarter: Robobox, initiated by Pierre, Data & AI consultant at Axionable.

2 months ago, Axionable participated in an AI innovation challenge, proposed by Vinci, by creating a robot capable of detecting screw defects. Pierre participates, convinced of the value of working on concrete prototypes, especially when it comes to AI.

After this challenge, he had the idea to launch an ambitious project: “Robobox: learning robotics while having fun”. Robobox is a monthly box delivered to their premises that contains everything you need in spare parts and user manuals to build and technically develop robots. This project allows him to invest in each aspect of Axionable's business. He has rarely “had his hands in the code” and wants to learn alongside those who master these subjects.

The objective? Give Axionable employees the means to get involved in a fun and technical project to challenge both technical and non-technical profiles. This project allows novices to learn code and robotics from the most experienced ones who will be able to continue their learning on more advanced computer languages. In addition, this robot will join their autonomous car, the AxioNaut, to be able to present their know-how to their candidates and customers.

Neither one nor two, he determines the budget necessary to carry out the project: €180 for the first 6 months of subscription. He creates his project on Teamstarter, our crowdfunding platform, explains what it consists of and why he wants to launch it.

The advantage with Teamstarter is that if he gets the necessary budget, it's because his project likes it! It also allows him to identify and get closer to colleagues who have the same interests.

Teamstarter frees speech, everyone can easily propose their project. No risk taking, no wasting time: proposing my project takes me five to ten minutes, if it is funded, it's because I like it. Pierre

Quickly, he obtains the financing and everyone can invest in this project: assemble a robot, code the robot, dismantle it to develop another one and so on... The boxes consist of different stages, everyone can join the project along the way to discover AI at their own level. Employees will even be able to deepen their knowledge of AI that will be useful for their customers.
